  • The Service Experience
Preschoolers love to discover new things! That’s why we provide fun, interactive experiences through which kids can learn about Jesus in bite-sized pieces each week. Your child will be introduced to small group-style teaching where a leader will help them engage in the lesson with other kids. We believe a consistent class is best for preschoolers, so we encourage you to attend as often as possible. It’s the best way for them to make friends and build a relationship with their leader.
  • What to Bring
You may bring a bag with extra clothes, underwear or pullup. We ask that you hang onto personal toys during the service, but if a comfort toy, blanket, or sippy cup is needed, let our volunteers know, and we will make an exception! We do provide a snack and water during each service, but you may bring a special snack for your child if you prefer. Please make your child’s leader aware of any allergies or special diet considerations.
  • Wellness
We care about the health of your child and the other kids too! We ask that all kids who are experiencing a fever of 99 or above, vomiting, or have started taking an antibiotic within the last 24 hours, not come to class on that day. We will check temperatures at check-in. Additionally, we thoroughly clean and disinfect all classroom items on a regular basis.
  •  Bathroom Breaks
Please take your child to the bathroom before VBF Kids are released from service. We will try to recognize the signals of your child to let us know a bathroom break is needed and will certainly allow them to go if they ask! We also ask children before and after snack time if they need a bathroom break. Please let us know if your child has any special needs or considerations. We are happy to help! For the safety of your child, a female volunteer will direct your child to the bathroom, stand outside the door, and help when necessary, with the door open, in view of another leader.
  • Take it Home
Every week you will receive a Parent Cue letting you know what your child learned in their group. This paper is a great way to connect what they are learning in church to their everyday world at home. Each week’s Parent Cue has conversation starters and simple things you can do to have “God Talks” with your kids during everyday activities such as drive time and bed time.
