Kindergarten - 5th Grade
- We do Big Group!
At the beginning of service, all kids join together with the adults for a time of music and worship. After VBF Kids are released to their own program, they will be introduced to our monthly theme with fun, engaging games, Bible stories, and object lessons. We keep it moving and keep it fun so your child stays engaged and remembers the main idea of the lesson.
- We Do Small Group
After the big group time, kids are dismissed to their small groups where they can build relationships with other kids their age, have a consistent caring leader, and apply what they are learning from the Bible to everyday life.Leaders promote an atmosphere of safety and acceptance so kids can talk, ask questions, and learn to listen to others. We believe that attending church consistently is key for building relationships in small groups and for growing a deep faith in God!
- We Have Fun!
Elementary kids are motivated by having fun, and we want church to be something they look forward to each week. That’s why we do our best to create environments where they can have fun! In addition to big group and small group times on Sundays, we have Family Events throughout the year. Join us at these events for some extra learning and fun for the whole family!
- Wellness & Special Needs
We care about the health of your child and the other kids too! We ask that all kids with a fever of 99 or above, vomiting, or have started taking an antibiotic within the last 24 hours, not come to class on that day. We will check temperatures at check-in. Additionally, we clean and disinfect all classroom items regularly. Its is important to us that we welcome every family and every child. We make efforts to include children with various special needs in our programs. If you have a child with special considerations, please fill out a Parent Questionnaire and return it to Registration. With this information, we will partner with you to help your child feel cared for and comfortable during services, while learning to grow in faith with their peers.
- Take it Home
Every week you will receive a Parent Cue letting you know what your child learned in their group. This paper is a great way to connect what they are learning in church to their everyday world at home. Each week’s Parent Cue has conversation starters and simple things you can do to have “God Talks” with your kids during everyday activities.
