Confidently Dependent

Our powerful, resourceful, and limitless God is able to meet every need we could ever have, not just in the material sense, but the emotional, physical and spiritual needs we have. Often times we have needs we’re not even aware of -- you know, like spiritual maturity. It’s where I find I’m in greatest need when making decisions and choices in a manner that aligns with God’s wisdom and approval. He promises that to me; James 1:5 “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

It is through spiritual understanding we begin to see things we think we “need” may not actually be needs at all, but rather “wants” which may be more harmful than beneficial. God knows that better than anyone, and will be faithful to give as He knows best, for our best, and in His perfect ways and timing.

Trust God knows all our needs from beginning to end, giving just enough of what we need, always with purpose, so that in all we are given, we can remain confidently dependent on Him, praising and giving all glory to Him.

Daniel 2:23 “To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king’s matter.”

Phil 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Matthew 6:26-34 “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Psalm 37:25 "I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor their offspring begging bread."

2 Corinthians 9:8 "God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
