Friday evening, July 10th
I want to thank each of you for the powerful words of encouragement and prayer that continue to be offered up in my family's behalf.
We have never felt more love than we have from our Vero Bible Fellowship family and from our Christian and community friends.
To our Christian friends, you are an amazing people because in this age of uncertainty all around us, you have an unmistakable desire to be found faithful before God.
When we consider the headlines on a daily basis, the wrong is right and right is wrong mindset, the cancel culture, and Covid-19, we are being pressed from all directions. But we do not lose hope because in reality we are exiles in this world. We must never forget that this isn’t really our home. Our real home is in heaven. So live with Christ in your heart at all times, live with the Gospel on your lips in every situation, and live a life that is honorable to God. Make sure you leave a reason for those who accuse you of being an evildoer, to realize the glory of God in your life on the great day of the Lord.
God is proving Himself strong in my life each and every moment as I battle Covid. He will see me and my family through this just as He sees each of us through the trials of our lives on a daily basis.
Just remember, we are surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world who face dire, dire situations on a daily basis, and yet they would declare to us that God has been so good to them. May those words be on our lips as well.
2 Corinthians 4:7–11 “But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.”
I want to be sure to convey just how much the emails, text messages and Facebook comments have meant to me and my family. We are forever grateful to our Christian and community friends. We are so blessed to call Vero Beach our home.
Now, may the Lord bless you and keep you; May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
