One True Comforter

As in everything, God works with purpose; even in our pain. Our pain or loss are not useless, for God will use it to not only grow and strengthen us, but others who will experience similar circumstances.

While every circumstance is different, we all still feel pain, loss, rejection, betrayal, loneliness, despair. God understands those emotions we experience as does Christ, who experienced them all. Not only can He reach our deepest pain, but uses others who have gone through similar pain. It’s not to imply others who’ve yet to experience painful experiences, cannot offer comfort, but for those who have, it provides a sense of hope and encouragement for those being comforted, that healing and restoration waits on the other side of their circumstance, all in God’s working and timing.

To come alongside to share and help each other in sufferings serves us all and points us to the One true Comforter—Christ.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

2 Corinthians 1:3
