I love to cook! I also love to bake, even though I think I am not very good at it! The other day while I was reading some recipes, I came across a recipe titled, “3 Ingredient Biscuits that will change your life.” Yes, you read that correctly, I read recipes. A biscuit recipe that will change your life?! Flour, milk and butter will change your life? I don’t think so!
But the recipe did get me to thinking: What are 3 things that will/can change your life? They are these simple things: sin, confession, and forgiveness.
One thing that will change your life is sin! How do you deal with it or, really, how SHOULD you deal with it? Confess your sin, don’t let unconfessed sin steal your joy. I John 1:9 says, "f we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." Unconfessed sin can affect your relationship with God and with others. The result is it can let sin steal your joy.
So confess your sin! After your confession, you can accept God’s forgiveness and the whole situation is done and over with! Don’t let Satan bring it back up again at a later time. Remember what Jesus did for you on the cross. YOU ARE REDEEMED. Your sins were PAID FOR and you're free from God's wrath. That is what Jesus’ death on the cross means to you.
Receive Christ's forgiveness and walk in peace. You and I are sinners saved by God’s grace. Enjoy God’s peace. Don’t let the 6:00 sad news steal your peace. Be at peace with others and especially your family during this quarantine! Be God’s vessel -- His instrument. “Here am I Lord, use me.” Isaiah 6:8b
And a bonus, secret ingredient that will change your life: love others. How else will the world know about our Jesus if we don’t share the good news and live out that good news?. How else will they know? As the song says, “and they will know us by our love, by our love."
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love."
